1. Who Operates Monument
Monument Documents is a trade name operated by Samuel David Rauch, a Florida sole proprietor (“Monument,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how Monument handles personal information and project information in connection with the website and services.
2. Information We May Collect
Depending on how you interact with Monument, we may receive contact information, company information, inquiry details, billing-related identifiers supplied by payment providers, transaction records, service communications, project instructions, files, links, and other materials you voluntarily provide through email, file-sharing services, the website, or another agreed method.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to respond to inquiries, evaluate and perform services, communicate with Clients, administer billing and subscriptions, maintain business records, provide support, quality-check deliverables, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and improve Monument’s operations.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Monument may receive transaction status, customer identifiers, billing contact information, subscription status, invoice information, and related records from Stripe, but the public Monument website does not receive or store full payment-card credentials.
5. Service Providers and Professional Tools
Monument may use service providers and professional tools for hosting, forms, email, cloud or file storage, business productivity, document production, analytics, security, payments, and AI-enabled production assistance where appropriate. Information is shared only as reasonably necessary for those functions and remains subject to the providers’ own terms and privacy practices.
6. Cookies and Basic Website Data
The website or hosting provider may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, timestamps, and basic request logs for security, performance, diagnostics, and hosting functions. Monument does not presently operate a consumer advertising profile or sell personal information to advertisers.
7. Project Materials
Project materials may contain business information or personal information chosen by the Client. Monument uses project materials only as reasonably necessary to evaluate, perform, administer, support, quality-check, and document the requested services, subject to the Terms and Confidentiality & File Handling Policy.
8. Sensitive Information
Do not send passwords, login credentials, Social Security numbers, full payment-card information, bank login credentials, protected medical information, classified information, export-controlled information, or other highly restricted regulated information unless Monument has specifically agreed to an appropriate handling method.
9. Retention and Deletion
Monument retains business, transaction, communication, and project information for as long as reasonably necessary for service delivery, support, legal, tax, accounting, security, dispute-resolution, recordkeeping, and legitimate business needs. Retention periods vary by information type. Where reasonably practicable and legally permitted, Clients may request deletion of project materials that Monument no longer needs.
10. Security
Monument uses commercially reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the size of the business. No internet, email, cloud, storage, or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. Monument will investigate suspected security incidents involving information in its control and will provide notices required by applicable law.
11. Disclosure Required by Law
Monument may disclose information when required by applicable law, court order, subpoena, or other compulsory legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or prevent fraud. Where legally permitted and reasonably practicable, Monument will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify the affected Client before disclosing Confidential Information in response to compulsory legal process.
12. Publicity and Portfolio Use
Monument will not publicly use a Client’s non-public deliverables, confidential materials, name, logo, testimonial, or case study without permission.
